I think one of my favorite times of the year is January... The beginning of all things NEW. With the beginning of a new year, we have the chance to start fresh and make New beginnings.
The beginning of this New year has brought some other New things to my life.
We recently moved to a New state, a New home with New neighbors and a New ward., and now I am in training for a New Job, for the possibility to travel to a New country.

Things are looking up. May you all have a lot of NEW things this year.

I want to make my blog something that others will want to read, somewhere that people will go to find comfort and joy in this crazy world we have managed to create. Suggestions for content are welcome and encouraged as I have no idea what it is I am really doing. :)

Blogging has never been my thing. I have a difficult time putting my thoughts into words and then putting them out there for the world to see. I am NOT as open to people as I once was. There has been a lot of hurt in my life, yet not as much as so many others.

My goal for the upcoming year is to be a happier, more loving, more forgiving person and to share that love of others and the world around us with all who care to receive it.

May 2013 be the year that YOUR dreams come true and that we all learn to see the beauty and the blessings in the small and simple things in our lives.

I Am Beautiful

well, here it is, my first challenge in the series of selfie magic challenges. I am beginning at week 8 because that is where I was introduced. when/if I find the time, I will go back and complete weeks 1-7, if not, I hope to be able to atleast continue from here on out.

I really had fun with this challenge, I am still an ameteur photographer, and I am not sure that I will ever be anything more than that, but I do feel that I need to be infront of the camera more than I have been. I have never been very comfortable in front of the camera, I know that I am my own worst critic, and it is something I am working on, but for now, I will work on these challenges along with my wonderful daughter, Shalay. I love you, baby, and thank you for the encouragement. :)

I AM BEAUTIUL...

That is a hard thing to believe sometimes, but I believe that we are ALL beautiful in our own unique ways. We can find beauty everyday in the world around us. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is a choice to see the beauty all around us, and the beauty within ourselves. I chose this background, because it is hard to see the beauty in graffiti and yet, here it is... quite beautiful, even if I do say so myself, so do not ever let anyone make YOU feel that you ARE not BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE!!!

Ok.. So, Shalay linked me to the website http://selfiemagic.com/ and I have decided to do what I can to be involved. I have accepted the week 8 challenge, (because that is where I came in) and I hope to find the time to go back and complete the others as well.

I will begin posting my pictures here and if I feel inclined to do so, I might say a little more about each as I post.
